Here are some useful resources to help with reading at home 🙂
Hi Everybody!
Here is a guide of how you can share some of your home learning if you would like to as I know some of you asked when I was chatting with you on the phone! I would love to see and read some of your work 🙂
You can share photographs or documents e.g powerpoint presentations or word documents of your writing.
If there are any problems, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll try and help as best I can!
Again, it is great to see so many of you continuing to work hard on practicing your times tables. This week we are competing against Mrs Lawrence’s class again and so far we are in the lead with 3,415 points! The battle will continue until Friday.
Here are some well deserved shout outs for some fantastic work!
Caelan
Eloise
Eve

Well done!

I love seeing photos of some of the learning and fun activities you have been up to at home or reading your comments about your work! Here are a few photos of some of the things Ira has been getting up to. Great work Ira – what a fantastic poster about the Egyptians.

Good morning!
John Lewis and Partners have created a fun competition that I thought some of you might like to enter. You need to design a ‘superhero teddy bear’ which will be made and sold around Christmas, with all profits going to charity.
The competition closes on Friday at 5pm. Here is the link with more information (scroll all the way to the bottom). You will need your parents permission to enter.

I have loved speaking to you all this week and hearing about all of the wonderful things you have been getting up to! It’s been great to see some of the things you have created too. I’m super proud of you all and your determination to keep learning, laughing and smiling never fails to amaze me!
Here’s Ben as a robot and Eloise’s Picasso picture!

Hi Year 4,
This week I have been busy at school, which has been very strange without all of your smiling faces, but I have really loved speaking to you all on the phone. It was lovely to find out what you have been up to and hear that you are all having so much fun whilst we are not at school 🙂
Here is your home learning for next week. There is an optional science experiment if you want to have a go, all about the digestive system – be prepared to get a little messy! I have also set up another ‘Battle of the bands’ against Mrs Lawrence’s class as lots of you were telling me you have really enjoyed them! It will take place from Monday until Friday. Good luck!
Did anyone have a go at the Oxfordshire County Council poetry challenge that ends today?
I hope those of you who have celebrated or are due to celebrate a birthday during our time away from school have had a lovely time.

I cannot wait to see you all again soon but until then remember to stay safe, keep washing your hands and keep smiling!
Miss Ross 🙂
Just a reminder about the Oxfordshire County Council poetry competition which closes on Friday if you wanted to enter 🙂

Congratulations!! All of your hard work and amazing effort with Times Table Rockstars this week has meant that you have won the battle against Mrs Lawrence’s class.
I am very proud of how hard you are all working and it is great to see so many of you logging in and working on your skills. We won with a massive 17, 156 points – WOW!
A massive well done and round of applause to everybody who has been practicing their multiplication and division facts this week:
Eve, Kaiden, Ellesha, Eloise, Ella, Freya, Ben, Caelan, Ira, Alice, Harry, Imi, Elira, Ana, Elle and Sophia.
A very special well done to Eve who has earned over 9,700 points. What a fantastic effort!
Enjoy your weekend Year 4.
Miss Ross 🙂
