Hi Year 4,
This week I have been busy at school, which has been very strange without all of your smiling faces, but I have really loved speaking to you all on the phone. It was lovely to find out what you have been up to and hear that you are all having so much fun whilst we are not at school π
Here is your home learning for next week. There is an optional science experiment if you want to have a go, all about the digestive system – be prepared to get a little messy! I have also set up another ‘Battle of the bands’ against Mrs Lawrence’s class as lots of you were telling me you have really enjoyed them! It will take place from Monday until Friday. Good luck!
Did anyone have a go at the Oxfordshire County Council poetry challenge that ends today?
I hope those of you who have celebrated or are due to celebrate a birthday during our time away from school have had a lovely time.

I cannot wait to see you all again soon but until then remember to stay safe, keep washing your hands and keep smiling!
Miss Ross π
Hello hope you are all doing well.missing seeing you all

Ancient Egypt mummies are mummified people. When people pass away, their family have a funeral that is different than ours today. Before they wrap the body in bandages, they pull the intestines and put them in separate jars. They pull the brain out of their nose with a silver, metal hook. Then people sprinkle salt on the body and let it dry for 40 -50 days.

the start of my story is:
Once upon a time, there was a girl called Rodaliss, when she was only a child, Rodaliss, had been stolen by an Egyptian man as a present for an wealthy man.
I have been missing you all so much and i’m really bored stuck at home. I am really enjoying homeschooling though. Hope that you are all doing very good and are all well. Enjoy your weekend!!!

Great story starter Freya! Your choice of the verb stolen has intrigued me as a reader π Remember to think about when you need to use ‘a’ or ‘an’. I’m glad to hear that you are enjoying the learning and it was great to speak to you this morning! Stay safe and hopefully I’ll see you soon π
