Home Learning 4

Good morning!

This week has flown by and I can’t believe it’s already Friday. I have been enjoying the sunshine and reading lots of books in my garden this week. What have you all been up to?

I hope you are all enjoying the learning we have been setting for you and have enjoyed the different activities. It has been great to see so many of you engaging with the learning and it’s great to receive comments about the work you have enjoyed.

Here is your learning for next week. If you need any help with it, or have any questions please comment and I will get back to you straight away.

Happy Ramadan to those who are celebrating! I hope you all enjoy this special time.

I’m really looking forward to seeing you all again but until then remember to stay safe and enjoy the wonderful sunshine with your families. I’m missing you all lots and I will be phoning you all next week which I’m really looking forward too. I cannot wait to hear about all of the fun things you have been getting up to!

Stay safe and keep smiling! Miss Ross 🙂

Children’s University

Hi everybody,

Don’t forget about the Children’s University activities you can be completing at home. There is no set end date for these challenges so feel free to complete as many as you like.

https://www.childrensuniversity.co.uk/get-involved/activities-to-do-at-home-and-online/

Each activity you complete will be worth 1 credit.

Kent Children’s University have also created a 28 page booklet of challenges that you can complete at home. If you complete any of these activities, you will earn the number of credits associated. http://www.kentchildrensuniversity.co.uk/cukent/home/kcu-challenges/spring-kcuchallenge/

If you do not have a Children’s University passport, don’t worry! You can still complete any of these activities at home.

Enjoy 🙂 Let me know which ones you enjoy!

Battle of the bands update

Well done to all of the children who played in our tournament against Mrs Lawrence’s class. It was fantastic to see you playing more than once across the week to boost your scores.

For this round, Mrs Lawrence’s class were the winners with 25,289 points to our 11,464 points. Don’t worry though, we will play another tournament in the future!

Congratulations to Kaiden, Eve and Eloise B who were our top 3 players!

It’s Easter

Hello everybody!

I hope you are all staying safe and continuing to do lots of fun things at home. Hopefully, you have all had a chance to have a go at the home learning tasks that I have been uploading for you. As it is now the Easter holidays, I will not be uploading any learning tasks for you to complete over the next two weeks. Our next home learning pack will be uploaded on the 17th April ready for the following week. Although I will not be uploading any work for you to complete, I will still be answering any comments so feel free to continue letting us all know what you have been up to!

Despite not having set learning tasks, there are still many different things that you can be doing over the next two weeks. For example, you could play on times table rockstars and challenge me or your class mates, you could read a book and complete a book task like we do in school or you could continue to access the useful website list for extra things to do. Alongside this, you could complete some Children’s University activities to go into your passport.

Here are a few extra websites that you might enjoy:

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/ If you go to Year 4, there are different maths activities you can complete. These are focusing on things we have already covered in class but would be good practice for you 🙂 There are worksheets involved if you want to use them but don’t feel that you have to print them. Instead, you can write down the answers on some paper or tell an adult.

https://www.nhs.uk/change4life/activities Here are some more active things you can be doing at home or you could teach your parents some of the Go Noodle moves!

https://www.wizardingworld.com/collections/harry-potter-at-home Here is a link to a website created by J.K Rowling with lots of fun Harry Potter themed activities you could do. This is going to be regularly updated so keep looking back to see what other fun activities there are to do such as: How to draw a niffler. https://www.wizardingworld.com/features/watch-our-guide-on-how-to-draw-a-niffler-video

Have a fabulous Easter, enjoy time with your family and try not to eat too much chocolate!

Times Table Rockstars

Today is the final day of our tournament with Mrs Lawrence’s class. Currently, we have just under half of the amount of points that they do! But don’t worry, we still have all day to play and see if we can over take them.

I will let you know tomorrow which class was the winner of this round. We could make this a fortnightly or monthly challenge, what do you think?

Happy playing!

Miss Ross 🙂
